Purna Bahadur Khadka and Dhanraj Gurung have been elected as the Vice President of the Nepali Congress. According to the results obtained late on Wednesday night, the election committee has announced that Khadka, the candidate of President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s party and Gurung, the candidate of Shekhar Koirala’s party have been elected.
Deuba candidate Vijay Kumar Gachchhadar was defeated by two votes. According to the election committee, Khadka got 2121 votes and Gurung got 1908 votes. Similarly, Gachchhadar got 1906 votes, Chandra Bhandari got 1580 votes, Sujata Koirala got 644 votes, Mahesh Acharya got 589 votes and Divyashwori Shah got 132 votes.
