The government has decided to send the report of the parliamentary special investigation committee on cooperatives to the relevant ministries for implementation.
Minister of Communication and Information Technology and government spokesperson Prithvi Subba Gurung informed that this decision was taken by the Council of Ministers meeting held on Wednesday.
The committee led by coordinator Surya Bahadur Thapa submitted a report to Parliament on Monday. Speaker Thapa submitted the report to the House of Representatives on Monday. Soon after, Speaker Ghimire instructed the secretariat to send the government for action.
The Parliamentary Special Committee has recommended action against GB Rai, Kumar Ramteler, Ravi Lamichhane and Chavi Lal Joshi with the conclusion that the funds of Surya Darshan, Supreme and other cooperatives were embezzled in Gorkha Media.
