A charge sheet (case) has been registered in the Kaski District Court against 31 people, including Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane, who was arrested in the cooperative case.
Suraj Adhikari, Information Officer of the Kaski Court, informed that the charge sheet along with the certificate and file submitted by the Government Attorney’s Office, Kaski, has been registered in the court.
Lamichhane has been in the custody of Kaski police since October 20 in the Surya Darshan Cooperative fraud case in Pokhara. The police had extended his remand eight times and were investigating him for cooperative fraud, money laundering and organized crime.
Along with Ravi, a case has also been registered against former DIG Chhabilal Joshi, Leela Pachai, Ram Bahadur Khanal and Krishna Bahadur Gurung.
The District Attorney’s Office, Kaski, filed the case based on the opinion mentioned in the investigation report of the District Police Office. The police had advised that 1.5 billion rupees should be recovered from 51 people, including Lamichhane, and that cases should be filed for cooperative fraud, organized crime, and money laundering.
