Hetauda Cement Industry, which was closed for about three months, has resumed production from today. Production was halted for two weeks due to maintenance of the industrial furnace as well as some equipment. The Deputy General Manager of the industry, Naveen Kumar Karna, informed that the cement production could not be carried out as the employees who retired from the industry continued to strike for a long time because of non-payment of gratuity and medical expenses.
He said that after the suspension of the strike by the now retired employees, regular production and packing work has been carried out from today. Vasantakumar Pandey, General Manager of Cement Industry, informed that since the industry has been repeatedly calling for and supplying about 4,500 metric tons of coal through tenders, the production is now going on regularly. He said that a few months ago, due to the financial crisis, it was difficult to purchase coal, so production had to be stopped several times.
