The literacy rate of Nepal has reached 77.4 percent. The Nepal Living Standards Survey 2022/23 has shown that Nepal’s literacy rate has exceeded 77 percent. Earlier, the National Census 2078 showed that the literacy rate reached 76.3 percent. This is the literacy rate of the total population aged 5 years and above.
In terms of literacy, the literacy rate of men is higher than that of women. Male literacy rate is 85.8 percent and female literacy rate is 70.1 percent.
