With the temporary cease-fire between Israel and Hamas, the release of hostages from both sides continues. As of Monday, Hamas has released 58 hostages from Israel. But till now Nepali youth Bipin Joshi has not been freed. According to the BBC, Hamas has freed 40 women and children. According to a separate agreement between Egypt and Hamas, Hamas has also released 17 Thai and one Filipino hostage.
Bipin Joshi, a Nepali citizen who is said to have been taken hostage by Hamas, is still unknown. Despite the release of hostages by Hamas for the third time on Sunday, nothing has been revealed about Bipin’s condition so far.
In a video from Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, information was released that Nepalis were also there. The Israeli army claimed that the person seen in it was a Nepalese citizen. As Hamas was freeing the hostages, it was expected that Bipin would also be freed from the hostages on Sunday. But he was not released even on Sunday. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that nothing has yet come out about Bipin’s release.
