Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has directed to reduce the price of petroleum products immediately.
The Prime Minister’s Secretariat has informed that due to the decrease in the price of petroleum products in the international market, the Prime Minister has instructed to adjust the price accordingly and reduce the price.
In the office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers today, Prime Minister Dahal instructed the Commerce and Supply Secretary to reduce the price of petrol, diesel and aviation fuel so that the common people feel relief.
It is arranged that the supply secretary will be the chairman of Nepal Oil Corporation. According to the latest information of the corporation, it is seen that profit of Rs. 99 crore will be made in 15 days.
The corporation is not ready to reduce the price saying that it has an obligation to pay Rs 18 billion. Even though the corporation is under pressure to reduce the price in all directions, it has been refusing.
The prime minister gave the instructions to reduce the price of petroleum products after the corporation was not ready to reduce the price, saying that despite the continuous decline in the price in the international market.
