Kathmandu — Nepal Women Chamber has honored several prominent Nepali women who have made historic contributions across various sectors on the occasion of the 75th anniversary and Diamond Jubilee of Nepal Chamber of Commerce.
The felicitation program, titled “Leading Women Honor,” recognized both living and late personalities who have contributed significantly in fields such as politics, law, education, social service, arts, administration, tourism, and sports.
The honorees were jointly felicitated by former President Ram Baran Yadav along with senior officials of the Chamber and President Urmila Shrestha of Nepal Women Chamber.
Speaking at the event, President Urmila Shrestha stated that the program was organized to acknowledge and celebrate the invaluable contributions of leading women in the country. She emphasized that Nepal Women Chamber has been continuously working toward promoting women’s empowerment, entrepreneurship development, and leadership capacity.
She further highlighted that recognizing women’s achievements at both national and international levels is the core objective of such initiatives, aimed at inspiring future generations and strengthening the role of women in society.
The event was attended by distinguished guests and representatives from various sectors, who expressed that such recognition programs help highlight women’s contributions and encourage broader societal progress.
