The District Administration Office, Kathmandu has stated that the vaccination card has been made mandatory in the flow of public services from January 22 to motivate the people who are yet to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to get vaccinated. Speaking to News Agency Nepal on Wednesday, Assistant Chief District Officer of Kathmandu District Umakanta Adhikari said that the vaccination card has been made mandatory in the public service since January 22 to keep records of those who have been vaccinated and to motivate those who are yet to be vaccinated.
He also said that the vaccine card is considered as the basis for the people who are vaccinated to be less risky. He mentioned that the vaccination card against Kovid-19 will be made mandatory. He said, “Now, on the 7th, when the people who have got the vaccination card go for public service, they have to show it.” And the issue of getting service on the basis of vaccine card is linked and it is the service providers concerned who coordinate the necessary services by looking at it at the place where they provide their services.
