Nepal Airlines Operators Association has increased air fares.
The Nepal Oil Corporation has increased the price of petroleum products and the airline association has announced the new fare. The corporation has increased the price of aviation fuel by Rs 5 per liter to Rs 190.
According to the association, the new fare will be effective from Thursday (July 8).
According to the increased fare, the fare from Kathmandu to Dhangadhi Airport, the longest distance, has been increased by Rs 220 to Rs 17,025. Mountain flights have increased by Rs 170. Now the fare for a mountain flight from Kathmandu is Rs 14,890.
Similarly, the fare from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur has increased by Rs 150 to Rs 12,955, from Kathmandu to Biratnagar by Rs 125 to Rs 10,205, from Kathmandu to Janakpur by Rs 65 to Rs 5,860 and from Kathmandu to Bharatpur by Rs 55 to Rs 4,990.
The fare from Kathmandu to Pokhara has been increased by Rs 80 to Rs 6,985. The fare from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa has increased by Rs 100 to Rs 8,675, while the fare from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj has increased by Rs 165 to Rs 13,980.
The fare from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar has increased by Rs 95 to Rs 8,205 and from Kathmandu to Simara by Rs 45 to Rs 4,240.
Similarly, the fare from Kathmandu to Surkhet has been increased by Rs 170 to Rs 14,995 and from Kathmandu to Rajbiraj by Rs 100 to Rs 8,755.
