Thailand — The 4th edition of the Star International Award Ceremony was held with grandeur at Hotel Picnic in Bangkok, honoring talented Nepali personalities from diverse fields on the international stage. The previous 3rd edition was also organized in Thailand, giving continuity and further prestige to this year’s event.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Sanjay Dhakal, newly elected President of NRNA Thailand, Lokendra Oli, Asia-Pacific Regional Deputy Coordinator of the International Coordination Council, advisor Bishwa Baral (USA), former General Secretary Sunil Khadka, and other distinguished personalities, which added to the event’s prestige.
More than 15 talents were recognized in various sectors ranging from traditional folk music, acting, and business to Ayurveda, beauty, modeling, and entrepreneurship.

Resham Sapkota received the award for excellence in traditional folk duet singing.

Manju Rana Magar was honored as an emerging model (spiritual).

Meghnath Regmi was recognized as a renowned astrologer.

Afsana Newa ‘Hayu’ was honored for excellence in beauty and makeup artistry.

Gopal Dhakal ‘Chhande’ was awarded for outstanding acting.

Mandira Sitoula received recognition for business excellence and innovation.

Ishwori Hamal Thakuri was honored as an emerging model.

Pralhad Chauhan received the award for research and practice in Ayurveda.

Ramkrishna Shrestha was recognized as a versatile singer.

Juju Pokharel received the award for innovation in beauty and makeup (Thailand).

Hemraj Rasailee was honored as an emerging entrepreneur.

Purnayou Ayurveda Hospital received the award for best Ayurveda hospital.

Santoshi Karki was recognized as an emerging singer.

Gita Upreti was honored as an outstanding beautician.
In addition, special honors were conferred upon health worker Sikrita Basti, young entrepreneurs Ashutosh Gyawali and Amir Nyaupane, senior physician Dr. Laxman Paudel, as well as other personalities contributing to literature and social service.
The event was hosted by popular actor Gopal Dhakal ‘Chhande’, under the chairmanship of Rajendra Luitel, head of Pageant Nepal, and coordinated by celebrity makeup artist and organizing committee coordinator Tekraj Pandey.
Speakers emphasized that bringing together and honoring Nepali talents in Thailand was a matter of pride, extending heartfelt congratulations to the organizing team. Experts described the initiative as a “historic effort to showcase Nepali talent and contributions at the international level,” adding that such programs help highlight Nepal’s identity, pride, and potential worldwide.
Cultural performances by artists from Nepal and Thailand added further vibrance to the grandeur of the ceremony.
The 4th edition of the Star International Award not only promoted Nepali art, culture, literature, medicine, beauty, and entrepreneurship on the international stage but also served as a strong bridge connecting the Nepali diaspora emotionally with their homeland.
