The CPN-UML has removed former Vice President Dr. Bhim Rawal from the party’s organized membership. With this, Rawal’s four-decade-long association with the UML has also come to an end.

The UML secretariat meeting held on Wednesday removed Rawal, who clashed with Chairman KP Sharma Oli at the 10th General Convention, from the organized membership, leaving him with no place in the party.

The meeting decided to expel Rawal from the party membership. UML Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali informed reporters that the decision has been made to remove him, who is a member of the party’s Central Advisory Council, from the organized membership.
