Kathmandu- A grand blood donation program was successfully organized by the National Creator and Performer Academy. The event took place at the Social Development Building in Anamnagar and saw active participation from many notable personalities.
Present at the program were Academy President Narayan Thapa, Senior Vice President Deepak Sharma, General Secretary Sanam Kathayat, Secretaries Rita KC and Benisha Paudel, Treasurer Pratiksha Kafle, and members Manoj Pariyar, Birendra Bhat “Bipin,” Pramod DC, Binod Bam, Pooja Thakuri, Subash Timilsina, Prajwal Bhatt, Geeta Pandey, and Kopila Shivakoti.
Also present were Additional Inspector General of Police and lyricist Tek Tamang, lyricist and composer Kastup Pant, singer-composer Narahari Premi, renowned singer Kulendra Bishwakarma, CD Bijay Adhikari, lyricist Suman “Bairagi” Pandit, lyricist Sabita Pokharel, along with many other well-known singers, musicians, lyricists, filmmakers, and artists from various fields of fine arts. Altogether, 63 individuals donated blood during the event.
Speaking about the program, Academy President Narayan Thapa expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to its success. He stated that the event was organized as part of the organization’s social responsibility, with the aim of helping address the ongoing blood shortage in blood banks, even if just in a small way.
Distinguished guests at the program included veteran artist Dhiren Shakya, senior composer Chetan Sapkota, President of the Music Composers’ Association Nepal Ashta Lama, Secretary of the Royalty Collection Society Basanta Sapkota, senior lyricist Shankar Adhikari “Ghayal,” President of the Music Video Directors’ Society Babita Shrestha Maleku, General Secretary of the Film Journalists Association Raghunath Sapkota, President of Rapti Society Govinda Madhur Acharya, veteran journalist and lyricist Dabbhu Kshetri, and the Academy’s advisors Rabindra Baral, Ramesh Dahal, Dr. Om Krishna Prasai, Madhav Raj Kharel, among other distinguished personalities.
