International Women’s Championship: Nepal Reaches Final Defeating Lebanon

Nepal has reached the final of the International Women’s Championship after defeating Lebanon 1-0 in a match held on Thursday.

For Nepal, in the 41st minute of the first half of the match, famous striker Savitra Bhandari Samba, taking advantage of the rebound after a corner kick, scored a shot into the net.

In the 41st minute of the match, Samba’s shot from outside the D-box deflected off a Lebanese player’s foot and into the net. This goal by Samba was enough to send Nepal to the final.

Nepal had taken a 1-0 lead in the first half of the match played at the Dashrath Stadium in Tripureshwor. After giving Rashmi Tamang a rest, the coach’s decision to start Samba at the start proved to be the right one.
