Nepal and China have finally signed the ‘Framework’ of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) project.
During the visit of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Nepali and Chinese officials signed the ‘Framework of Belt and Road Cooperation’ on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Oli, who went on a four-day visit to China last Monday, was hesitant to agree to proceed with BRI implementation. It was signed at a time when neighboring countries and other powerful countries, including Nepal, are watching with interest the implementation of BRI.
