Rabi Lamichhane, chairman of the National Independent Party, has been arrested on charges of misappropriation of cooperative funds in Gorkha Media Network Pvt. Ltd.
After obtaining an arrest warrant from the District Court, Kaski, the police arrested Lamichhane from the central office of the RSVP in Kathmandu. Before his arrest, he gave a brief address to the workers.
On 16 Asoj 2080, a case was registered in the Kaski court against former president GB Rai, his brother Bhupendra Rai, president Than Bahadur Budha and 19 others in the case of irregularities in the amount of savers in Suryadarshan Cooperative.
