Rabi Lamichhane, President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), who was arrested following a High Court order in a cooperative fraud case, has been sent to Rupandehi District Jail.
He was produced before the Rupandehi District Court on Sunday to complete the process.
There, Lamichhane was given a detention warrant and sent to the Bhairahawa District Jail.
According to DSP Suraj Karkiman, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Rupandehi, he will not be released until the next court ruling.
