Kathmandu – Popular singer Yubaraj Chhantyal and singer Laxmi Regmi have released a new Teej song titled “Bhayo Damadol.” Arriving at a time when the issue of legalizing polygamy is being hotly debated, the song humorously portrays the situation of finding “the woman outside more attractive than the one at home.”
Written by Pratima Sharma Chapai, the song features music by Surya Khadka and music arrangement by Yam Thapa Magar. The video, filled with lively dance, is choreographed and directed by Shivam Pokhrel.
The vibrant performances in the video come from Nirmal Chhetri, Rina Thapa, Sila Pandey, and Bimal Basnet. Cinematography is by Saroj Shahi and Umesh Bahadur Shah, while editing is done by Tekendra Shah. Makeup has been handled by Sarita Prajapati.
At a time when there has been a shortage of Teej songs worth dancing to, “Bhayo Damadol” has brought fresh excitement and hope among listeners and viewers.
