A consensus was reached at Sheetal Niwas to form an interim government by dissolving the House of Representatives.
According to sources, following the stance of former Chief Justice Sushila Karki and pressure from the agitating Genjis, President Ram Chandra Poudel was ready to dissolve Parliament and pave the way for the formation of an interim government.
