18 Died, 1 Injured in Saurya Airlines Crash Said Aviation Authority

Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has said that 18 people died in the plane crash of Saurya Airlines at Tribhuvan Airport on Wednesday morning. The Authority’s Search and Rescue Coordination Center issued a statement on Wednesday afternoon saying that CRJ Seven (IG 9NAME) of Solar Airlines had crashed.

According to the authority, the plane took off from the runway at 11:11 am local time from Kathmandu to Pokhara, turned right and crashed at the east side of the airport. The authority has also informed that rescue operations have been started immediately and the fire has been brought under control. According to him, 18 dead bodies were collected. The authority informed that 1 injured person was rescued and taken to Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital.
