Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply and its subordinate agencies to work for smooth supply of food items during festivals including Dasain-Tihar.

Prime Minister Oli clarified that there will be no compromise with the trend of creating artificial scarcity of food items and seeing only profit and self-interest rather than humanity and commercialism in the discussion held today at the office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers, Sinha Durbar, regarding the commerce and supply of the Ministry.

He said, “There may be a tendency to make more profit by selling sugar and other goods on the black market, and salt trading can be given the responsibility by not allowing traders who do so to do business.” There is no agreement on such matters. There is no sound.”

In a discussion with Industry Minister Damodar Bhandari, Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal, and secretaries, Prime Minister Oli asked to reduce imports overall, increase exports and not to import and export poisonous foods.
