The Armed Police Force team assigned to protect former King Gyanendra Shah has been changed. The government has also reduced the number of security personnel assigned to protect the Shah.
A Home Ministry source said that the set under the command of DSP Jagdish Hamal has been recalled and a new team has been deployed. According to the source, a new team of 16 people led by Pramod Prakash Pathak has been deployed for Shah’s security.
As per the security standards of VVIPs, a team of 16 security personnel has been deployed for his protection.
Earlier, the Cabinet meeting held on Friday night had concluded that the violent incident in Tinkune was caused by Gyanendra.
