Gurung, the director of Management Pvt. Ltd., won the election held last Friday. Gurung, a businessman who had previously served as the second vice-president of the association, is considered close to the Nepali Congress.
In an interview with Nepal Samacharpatra after his victory, the newly elected Gurung said that he would prevent the association from becoming a means to fulfill the interests of a certain group and use it to serve the interests of general businessmen.
While Chairman Gurung received 428 votes from the panel formed in collaboration with the Democratic Association and the Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs’ Republican Forum, his competitor, the Progressive Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs’ Forum Nepal, a faction of the Nepal Democratic Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs’ Association, and the Unified Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs’ Organization, received 367 votes.
Sujit Kumar Shrestha of Gelal Panel has won the first vice-president position. He is the former general secretary of the association.
While Shrestha received 375 votes, the candidate for the first vice-chairman of the Gurung panel, Narendra Prasad Dhakal, the director of Nakori Nepal Pvt. Ltd., received 302 votes, while another candidate for the same position, Akhtar Hussain, received 101 votes.
Dev Kumar Khokhali, the director of Alert Overseas Pvt. Ltd., also from the Gurung panel, won the second vice-chairmanship by securing 402 votes, while his rival Madhukar Rijal of the Gelal panel received 378 votes.
Baikuntha Poudel Vaibhav of the Gelal panel won the third vice-chairmanship by getting 435 votes, while his closest rival Harka Bahadur Limbu, owner of Employment Creation Service Pvt. Ltd., received 350 votes. For the post of general secretary, Gurung panel candidate Mahesh Kumar Basnet, owner of Global Rising Placement Pvt. Ltd., won by getting 423 votes, while his rival Karnaraj Katuwal of the Gelal panel received 362 votes.
Kuncha Dorje Dimdong of Gurung Panel, the owner of Aakriti Recruiting Pvt. Ltd., has won the post of Secretary by securing 374 votes, while his closest rival, Gelal Panel candidate Anil Bogati, received 311 votes and independent candidate Ishwor Sapkota received only 93 votes.
Dhanu Sinjali of the Gelal panel won the treasurer post with 428 votes, while his rival, Bikram Shrestha, the Gurung group candidate and the owner of Shubha Harati Manpower Pvt. Ltd., received 357 votes.
Similarly, for the post of member of the executive committee, Rekha Sharma, the director of Riza Overseas Pvt. Ltd., received 447 votes, Krishna Dhakal, the director of Eagle Manpower Consultant Pvt. Ltd., received 442 votes, Bharat Sapkota, the director of Universal H.R. Solution Pvt. Ltd., received 435 votes, Raj Lama Tamang, the director of Raj Group of Companies, received 400 votes, Subarna Lama, the director of Rasuwa Overseas Pvt. Ltd., received 409 votes, Hima Gurung, the director of Winner HR Solution Pvt. Ltd., received 349 votes, Rama Khadka, the director of Rio Overseas Pvt. Ltd., received 388 votes, Devi Prasad Giri, the director of Himalayan Valley Nepal Pvt. Ltd., received 377 votes, Bidya Lakshmi Bajracharya, the director of Imperial Overseas Pvt. Ltd., received 353 votes, and Suman Raj Pandey, the director of Secure Nepal Job Pvt. Ltd., received 343 votes.
