Chief Secretary Aryal, Suspended in Corruption case, Released on bail

The special court has ordered the release of the suspended Chief Secretary Baikunth Aryal on bail. Aryal, the accused in the corruption case, was ordered to be released on bail by the bench of special court chairman Teknarayan Kunwar and members Ram Bahadur Thapa and Ritendra Thapa. Dhan Bahadur Karki, spokesperson of the special court, informed that a bail of 50,000 rupees has been demanded from him.

 

On June 9th, Chief Secretary Dr. A corruption case was filed against 11 people including Baikunth Aryal. In this case, the authority claims that there is corruption of 38 million rupees. The authority has mentioned in the indictment that this scandal took place with the involvement and leadership of Aryal when he was the then secretary of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology and the chairman of the Security Printing Development Committee.

 

Similarly, the then Director General of Internal Revenue Department Ritesh Kumar Shakya, the then Deputy Director General of Internal Revenue Department Tank Prasad Pandey, the then Director of Internal Revenue Department Ganesh Vikram Shahi, the then Branch and Officer of Internal Revenue Department Rabindra Prasad Paudyal have also been accused of corruption in this case.
