Cooperate Instead Protesting: Rabi Lamichhane

Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane has asked the parties who are protesting at Maitighar in Kathmandu for the justice of Nirmala Kurmi of Banke to leave the sit-in and cooperate in the investigation.

Stating that the government is sensitive about the Kurmi incident, he said that the Central Investigation Bureau (CIV) of Nepal Police is investigating by deploying a special team.

He asked them to stop all dharna and protest activities and cooperate with the police investigation.

He said that the government was serious about the incident and asked Ruby Khan, who was on sit-in, to stop the agitation and sit-in and help the police.

Earlier on Monday, Home Minister Lamichhane had discussed with Home Secretary Vinod Prakash Singh, Inspector General of Police Dheeraj Pratap Singh and other high security officials and instructed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) to investigate the truth and submit a report.
