India’s Dada Saheb Phalke International Award Film Foundation’s International Ambassador to the world-renowned lyricist Dr. DR Upadhyaya has been selected. Among the various awards in India, the ‘Dada Saheb Phalke Award’ is considered prestigious. This award is given every year to various people for their special contribution in the field of cinema. The award was introduced by the Ministry of Communications, Government of India in 1969, the birth centenary of Dada Saheb Phalke. ‘I am delighted to have been selected as the International Ambassador for this award’, Dr. Upadhyaya said.
Lyricist and novelist Dr. Upadhyay has set world records in 59 different categories, including the Guinness Book of World Records.
Dr. Upadhyaya’s songs are for all classes, professions and communities. Her 24 albums include not only love and romance breaks but also songs written for the society.
She has songs from various festivals ranging from festival songs to farewell songs, tourism songs, songs related to health and yoga, songs related to women’s harassment, songs related to laborers, farmers and porters. He has also published 11 novels and three songbooks.
