The suspended general minister of the same party, Dr. Indira Rana, who was accused of ‘writing a letter to the embassy to take five Nepalis to America’, was defending that the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA) is innocent. Mukul Dhakal has claimed that he has the proof.
Dr. Mukul Issuing a long statement through social media on Tuesday morning. Dhakal made a serious allegation that Deputy Speaker Rana had also made financial threats to send Nepalis to America.

My statement about the Deputy Speaker’s letter issue
On May 4, 2081, Shankar Shrestha, secretary of the party’s organization department, sent me a letter written by the deputy speaker on WhatsApp. In addition, he also sends a record of a telephone conversation he had with one of the city councilors of the party. According to the telephone conversation, a woman who was mentioned in the letter to the municipality chairman, comes in contact with him saying that she is a victim. According to the victim, 1 year ago, the deputy speaker’s secretariat took money from her saying that it would be sent to America, and after she did not get a US visa, sometimes she would send it to the UK and sometimes to another country, so she came in contact with the party saying that she would not return her money because the deputy speaker’s secretariat was confused.
As soon as I received the news of the incident, I told the party chairman Ravi Lamichhane, party vice chairman Dr. Swarnim Wagle and Deepak Bohora, who is working as the Home Minister’s secretariat coordinator in the Ministry of Home Affairs and Party Co-Treasurer, asked the Ministry of Home Affairs to check whether the mentioned 5 people have flown abroad or not. The next day, I received the news that no one had flown abroad for the first time because it was Ram Navami. Bhanthani, I contacted the deputy speaker and he initially said that he was not aware of the letter, but after a bit of discussion, he said that his brother named Upendra is a member of the party, he only knows him, he does not know the others, and he said that he signed the letter as Upendra said. “Can you say a stranger?” , “Can it be signed like that?” I asked the deputy speaker about that and he gave a general answer of “I don’t know”. “Can you say you don’t know?” I kept asking, but he kept saying “I don’t know”. After that, he instructed as the party general minister that no one should sign like that when they come and bring those 5 people to the party office as soon as possible. At that time he told a person named Mahesh Pandey that he knows who she is and to contact him, but I told him not to contact any other person and that you should bring that person to the party office.
Not only the deputy speaker, but the disease of “not knowing” has spread like an infectious disease in the party, which I have also mentioned in the review report. In the future, such “I don’t know” cases will be revealed more and more, because the truth can be hidden for a few days, but it cannot be hidden forever. Due to the pressure put on me by the answer of “I don’t know” as the party general minister, I also started the review journey from the village of “Taha municipality” of Rup Chandra Bista ‘Rudane’, the campaigner of “Taha Abhiyaan”.
After instructing the Deputy Speaker to attend those 5 people, the by-election of Elam came. After the election results, the party secretariat meeting was held and the meeting decided to send me on a review trip. The events after that have come to the general public. I was researching the matter of the Deputy Speaker’s letter and heinous crimes like human trafficking with the knowledge of only a few members of the party, but I was overshadowed by the fact that the events developed over time. Even after a month passed, the Deputy Speaker did not make those 5 people appear at the party office as per the instructions given and because of their non-appearance, further steps would have to be taken, in which case neither I nor anyone else in the know was interested.
Even after questioning the Deputy Speaker, I wanted to contact the victim myself, but the victim who came into contact said to the chairman of that municipality, “You have pushed the issue, my money has been returned”. 9 lakh rupees was taken by the deputy speaker’s secretariat and after returning it, the victim refused to give a statement and to come in contact with her. According to the victim, the bank statement in which 9 lakhs was returned is still safe with the victim.
