World-renowned lyricist and novelist Dr. DR Upadhyay has been conferred with an honorary doctorate. At a special ceremony held in New Delhi, India, Dr. Upadhyay was conferred with an honorary doctorate by Osh University in Kyrgyzstan. The university conferred an honorary doctorate on Dr. Upadhyay in the field of literature.
Dr. Upadhyay, who completed his doctorate in sociology in 2000, has previously been conferred honorary doctorates by seven different universities. This is his eighth honorary doctorate. Dr. Upadhyay has previously been conferred seven honorary doctorate certificates by other universities, including the US.
