RPP Senior Vice President Rabindra Mishra and General Secretary Dhaval Shumsher Jabra have been arrested. They were arrested by the Kathmandu Police Range on charges of engaging in anarchic activities in the name of protest. It is said that they were arrested while returning from KMC Hospital after visiting the injured.
Similarly, royalist supporter Swagat Nepal has also been arrested. While royalist coordinator Nawaraj Subedi has been placed under house arrest.
Similarly, the police are searching for Durga Prasai, the ‘Jana commander’ of the royalist movement. But Prasai turned off his mobile phone and went uncontacted as soon as he received the information about his arrest.
He had secretly fled the venue of the event by riding a car after being asked to stage a chaotic demonstration in Tinkune, Kathmandu. After that, Prasai, who challenged the police not to come to arrest him and to come wherever they call, has since gone missing. The police are searching for him.
