Health and Population Minister Pradip Paudel has said that since the research will affect millions of people, the highest ethical standards should be met.
In the opening session of the 24th summit of the ‘Forum for Ethical Review Committee in the Asia and Western Region (FARCAP)’ organized by the Nepal Health Research Council , he said that ethics in research is the basic foundation of building trust in health services.
In the conference, there will be physical presence of around 600 domestic and foreign experts, researchers, policy makers, representatives of academic institutions in various fields related to research ethics from home and abroad.
Experts from 23 countries including America, Japan, UK, Philippines, Poland, Malaysia, Norway, Greece, Kenya, Brazil, India are participating in this conference which was organized for the first time in Nepal. For the conference, 90 oral and 13 poster presentations have been selected in various categories of research ethics.
