• June 14 is celebrated as World Blood Donor Day.

On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day 2025, a free health camp and blood donation program has been organized at Lagankhel Bus Park in Lalitpur district.


More than 200 transport workers underwent health screenings at the event, organized by the Independent Transport Workers’ Organization.

The free health camp and blood donation program was organized in collaboration with Mahabir Health Foundation, a social organization working in the health sector, Innova Hospital, Lazimpat, Kathmandu, Lomas Pharmaceuticals, and Micro Labs Limited.


Chief guest Kabiraj Adhikari, Executive Director of the Social Security Fund, thanked the organizing organization and collaborating organizations for organizing the event, saying that it was organized on a special day, Blood Donor Day.

Speaking at the program, Mahavir Health Foundation Chairman Deepak Bhattacharya said that they have completed 128 health camps in the past and will continue to organize such programs in the coming days.

During the program, free heart and diabetes checkups, blood tests, and medicines were provided by qualified doctors. 78 people donated blood on the occasion.

Speaking at the program, Director of Inova Hospital, Lazimpat, Dr. Prince Rauniyar said that the free health camp was successfully conducted with a significant turnout of participants as it was organized with the participation of skilled doctors.

Om Narayan Sharma, Marketing Director of Lomas Pharmaceuticals, said that the collaboration was done as part of social responsibility.

Santosh Chakraborty, Manager of Micro Labs Limited, mentioned that they will continue to support such programs.

Deepak Khadka, president of the Independent Transport Workers’ Organization, informed that mostly workers working in the transport sector benefited from the health camp.
