Minister of Health and Population Pradeep Paudel said that the interest in Ayurveda treatment is decreasing and has instructed to come with a clear plan within 1 week to make the service effective.
Speaking at the meeting with Ayurveda related officials held in the ministry, Minister Poudel said that there is no situation in which resources can be added immediately, and asked him to come up with a plan that can be improved in the current situation.
‘We are ready to make necessary policy arrangements for service improvement,’ he said, ‘Come with a clear plan within 1 week. Let’s work to improve quickly, I am ready to support.’
He also asked to use the resources sparingly. Minister Poudel said that Ayurveda treatment seems to have lost its relevance and he should not hold the post if it cannot be improved.
‘Let’s improve as much as possible,’ he said, ‘but let’s not sit (in position) in such a way as to sink.’
