Minister for Health and Population Pradeep Paudel has proposed collaboration with hospitals run by government-funded security agencies to reduce the pressure of patients in government hospitals.
During a meeting with the Inspector General of Police and military officers, including heads of health services run by the military, Minister Poudel proposed to collaborate to provide services if the operation wards in security agency hospitals are vacant in cases where there is a queue at government hospitals.
“Work is being done to manage the pressure of patients by adding shifts and working overtime in federal hospitals,” Minister Poudel said. “When there is pressure in the government, please support us in how we can provide treatment by referring patients to hospitals run by security agencies.
Minister Paudel also sought suggestions on how to make services that are not open to the general public available at government rates, just like other government services.
Minister Paudel also requested suggestions on how to make the health insurance program effective in hospitals of security agencies.
