Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that in the context of many hospitals and doctors being produced in the country, the future should be called the time of long life. He said this while addressing a book release program written by author, poet and literature writer Netra Prasad Gautam at CPN-UML Central Office Chasal on Saturday.
Two works of Gautam have been published. One of them questioned the name of the work called ‘Itivrtti’ and asked the age of the author. The writer on the side said he was 80 years old. Oli said that it should not be written as a history now and insisted that he is still fit even after two kidney transplants.
‘Just turned 80. There is much to be done, work to be done. It’s not like before, so many doctors have been trained here, so many hospitals have been opened, there are so many medicines,’ said Oli, ‘and what would have happened in a hurry? Nothing now. Even though I had kidney failure a couple of times, I brought another kidney and put spare parts in another’s car, and asked others to do the work. Even so, I am staying here.’
