Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that he is committed to the agreement reached with the Nepali Congress and that he will resign a week before the completion of 2 years.

Prime Minister Oli while giving instructions to the secretaries at the Prime Minister’s Office, Singhdarbar on Tuesday told them not to worry about the future of the government and said that the consensus government will go till the elections.

He said that some people can spread rumors about how long this government will last, and he said, ‘If this government falls, then it will not change.’

According to the seven-point agreement reached between the Congress and the UML on June 17, Oli will be the Prime Minister for two years and Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba will lead the electoral government. Oli made it clear that he will proceed accordingly.

“This government will run for two years under my leadership, I would have resigned a week before the end of the two years,” Prime Minister Oli said, saying that there would be no doubt whether he would do it or not.

He also recalled that, without naming the Congress MP Ramesh Ukhtar, he had thought about what would happen if all those who had been cheated from the rostrum of the Parliament united and tried to learn from the cheating.
