Inspector Binukumari Shahi of Police Division, Bhainsepati has been removed from the responsibility. Kathmandu Valley Police Office removed Shahi from the responsibility and proceeded with the investigation.
Kathmandu Valley Chief AIG Kiran Bajracharya said that he was removed from responsibility on Wednesday on the charge of financial transaction with a person.
A 5-member committee has been formed under the command of Lalitpur area DSP Narahari Adhikari to investigate the incident.
Similarly, two other people involved in financial transactions have been arrested by the police. SP Nareshraj Subedi of District Police Complex Lalitpur informed that they are being arrested and investigated for crimes related to criminal gain. An investigation has been started after Shahi was accused of taking money so that he would be implicated in the rape case.
In the case of honey trap, it is said that Shahi took 3 million rupees with the girl saying that she would be trapped in rape.
