Kathmandu Becomes Most Polluted City in World, Stay Safe Warnings

Air pollution levels in the Kathmandu Valley have been poor for a week.

According to measurements by air quality measurement company IQ Air, the Kathmandu Valley is currently the most polluted city in the world.

The average air quality index (AQI) in the Kathmandu Valley is currently 193. This is considered unhealthy. This is slightly lower than the previous day. The AQI in Wuhan, China, which is the second most polluted city in the world, is 166.

Air quality indices from 0 to 50 are considered good for health, while those above 301 are considered hazardous to health. Similarly, 201 to 300 are considered very unhealthy, 151 to 200 are considered unhealthy, 101 to 150 are considered unhealthy for sensitive groups, and 51 to 100 are considered moderate.
