Writer and director Laxman Subedi’s film ‘Sati Devi’ is going to be released on 19th, July. The female-led film presents the subtle affection between fathers and daughters, the ups and downs of the relationship.
The film features Malika Mahat, Ramesh Budhathoki, Bholaraj Sapkota, Kuldeep Adhikari, Sandeep Babu Lohani, Srijan Adhikari, Manisha Sapkota, Sujita Sivakoti, Tulasi Shrestha, Ishwari Singh, Sandesh Limbu, Pawan KC, Jagdish Adhikari and others. The film featuring Dilasa and Sara is produced by Shridevi, Dilasa and Sara Subedi.
Produced in association with Dilasha Creation and Golden State Movie Makers LLC California, the film has story, screenplay, dialogues by director Subedi, cinematography by Babu Shrestha, music by Deepak Sharma and Subash Bhusal and choreography by Ramji Lamichhane.
The film, shot in Kathmandu, Lamjung, Tanahun and Kaski, recently won the Jury Award for Best Screenplay, Best Film and Actress at the ‘Nepal Rural Film Festival’ held in Ramechhap.
The film also won the Shiva Regmi Best Director and Best Film awards at the Sauraha South Asian Film Festival.
The film will be distributed by Rich Entertainment in the valley and FD Company outside the valley. The digital rights to the film have been purchased by the OSR.
