The Ministry of Health and Population has issued a circular to private medical colleges and government hospitals to publish their service charges.
After receiving a complaint of more than the specified fee, Health and Population Minister Pradeep Paudel asked to make arrangements to keep the fee details so that everyone knows.
After some citizens complained that they did not know about the fee, Minister Paudel took the initiative to make the fee public.
Circular to be publish within a week
The Quality Measurement and Regulation Division of the Ministry has issued a circular to publicize the fee details within a week.
In the letter sent by the ministry, it has been asked to put the details of the fees charged for their health services on the website and arrange for the consumers to get the information easily.
In the letter sent by the ministry, the surgery fee has also been asked to be disclosed. Similarly, the Ministry has sent a letter to inform the service users by disclosing the details of all types of beds, radiology services, lab fees and other services including tickets.
Action will be taken
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, action will be taken in accordance with the rules if it is not publicized within a week, if it is found that the fee is overcharged or not publicized.
