Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population has decided to organize the ‘Nepal Health Summit 2024’ in order to bring the knowledge, skills and skills of Nepalis living abroad to the country for the improvement of Nepal’s health sector. The ministry is preparing to gather suggestions from Nepali experts working in the health sector in the country and abroad to participate in the conference. The Ministry believes that through the conference, it will provide important support for policy formulation and planning and necessary programs for health improvement in the near future.
Health and Population Minister Pradeep Paudel took the decision on Tuesday. In the plans and priorities announced by him on the 27th of July, it is mentioned that ‘necessary arrangements will be made to link the skills and competencies of the health personnel who are gaining expertise and experience in different countries outside Nepal with the health service system of Nepal’.
Dr. Prakash Budhathoki, spokesperson of the Ministry, informed that a conference is going to be held to get the necessary suggestions to use the skills and competence of Nepali doctors, researchers, academic personalities and nurses from all over the country to improve the health of the country. “Based on the suggestions received from the Nepali experts participating in the summit, an action plan will be prepared to improve the health sector according to the minister’s goals,” he said.
