Kathmandu — The upcoming Nepali feature film “Man Binako Dhan” starring child singer Ashok Darji is set for a nationwide release on November 7 (Kartik 21).
Written, composed, and directed by Tanka Budhathoki, the film aims to portray the emotional connection between heart and wealth, shedding light on how money influences human emotions and family relationships. The trailer reveals themes of materialism, human sensitivity, and the true value of compassion in society. According to the director, the film conveys the message that “the heart is greater than wealth.”
The movie features a strong cast including Ashok Darji, R. Budhathoki, Neeta Dhungana, Ramesh Bishwakarma, Saroj Khanal, Bhola Raj Sapkota, Santosh Pant, Rabindra Jha, Buddhi Tamang, Binu Raut, Ramesh Budhathoki, and Parvati Adhikari. Child actors Samragi Thapa, Babu Parajuli, Deepjal Basnet, Arika Jha, and Abhishek Thapa also appear in key roles.
The dialogues are written by Shivam Adhikari and Tanka Budhathoki, with Saurabh Lama handling cinematography, Mitra D. Gurung editing, and Tsujil Karmacharya providing background score.
The film’s executive producer, Minu Sharma ‘Sapana’, is a well-known entrepreneur and social worker who has expanded her business ventures in Nepal, Dubai, India, and China. “Man Binako Dhan” marks her debut in the Nepali film industry.
The trailer, released recently, has drawn widespread attention—especially for the performance of Samragi Thapa, Sharma’s daughter, whose natural and emotional acting has earned praise from viewers and critics alike.
Producer Sharma expressed great optimism about the project, stating that the film will deliver both entertainment and a positive social message. Coming from a strong business background, she believes her entry into filmmaking will also leave a meaningful impact on the Nepali film scene.
The film is produced by Bishnu Maya Mainali, with choreography by Kaviraj Gahatraj, Ramji Lamichhane, and Sister Khatiwada, while Sahil Khan handled trailer editing.
According to the production team, “Man Binako Dhan” has received an encouraging response from audiences and film professionals shortly after its trailer release. The team also confirmed that the movie will be screened not only across Nepal but also in selected international venues.
