National Innovation Center Makes Agreement with Bir Hospital for Equipment Maintenance

Kathmandu: Bir Hospital has entered into an agreement with the National Innovation Center to repair damaged equipment.

On 5th Bhadra, in the presence of Health and Population Minister Pradeep Paudel, the Ministry of Health and Population entered into an agreement with the Innovation Center to identify and repair the damaged equipment of federal hospitals.

Under the same agreement, Bir entered into an agreement with the Innovation Centre.

Under the agreement made under the Public Procurement Act, in the first phase, the center’s health expert technicians will study the condition of the broken equipment in the hospital and distinguish between those that can be repaired and those that cannot. After that, the damaged equipment will be repaired in the second phase using the repair materials provided by the hospital.

Minister Paudel requested the center to help in the repair with the aim of utilizing the broken equipment of the hospital and on the other hand using indigenous resources, tools and manpower. He believed that the center would assist in the repair of health equipment through indigenous skills at low cost.

After a discussion with the head of the center, Mahaveer Pun, a ministerial agreement was reached, and now the hospitals have started the repair process through the center.
