Stating that the Nepal Cultural International Film Festival will organize the third edition, the filmmakers have been requested to submit the film for participation. The founder of the festival, Santosh Subedi, has informed that the deadline for participating in the festival, which includes domestic and foreign films, is July 1.
Interested filmmakers will be able to submit their films to the festival through Freeway. Subedi said that they are preparing for the third edition with the success of the first and second editions.
He said that 72 films from 27 countries have already come in the newly opened application. He said that as there is a deadline of two more months to send the film, he is expected to participate in the film.
14 films including 7 Nepali and 7 foreign will be awarded in the festival. The awards will be distributed in seven categories including Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Documentary Film, Best Human Rights Film, Best Children Film, Best Woman Film and Best Animated Film. The best feature film will receive USD 500 with the trophy, while the winner of all other categories will receive 250.
