The Government of Nepal has announced that it will provide financial assistance of US$ 100,000 to the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT).
Government Spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung informed that the meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Monday decided to provide the grant support to the organization, which is in financial crisis, as Nepal is a founding member country.
He said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to address the organization while in Bangkok, where he is on an official visit to Thailand and participating in the sixth summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC).
