The Nepali women’s team has won a historic victory in the Kava Women’s League by defeating India. Nepal defeated India 3-2 in the match at Dasharath Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
When the Nepalese team defeated India, which is considered as Asia’s giant in volleyball, in a set of 3-2, spikers Saraswati Chaudhary, Niruta Thagunna and Usha Bhandari and libero Salina Shrestha gave excellent performances in the final competition.
India, Iran, Maldives and Sri Lanka along with Nepal will reach the top four teams in the Kava Women’s League in the semi-finals. Earlier, Nepal defeated Sri Lanka 3-0 in straight sets.
