Minister for Health and Population Pradeep Poudel has said that from next year, there will be no VAT and customs duty on glasses used for eye treatment.
Inaugurating the central assembly of the Nepal Netrajyoti Association in Kathmandu on Friday, he announced that from next year, there will be no VAT and customs duty on glasses related to treatment.
“There are two types of glasses. One is also related to fashion. The other is related to the eyes. We will make arrangements next year to exempt VAT and customs duty on glasses related to eye treatment rooms,” said Health Minister Poudel.
He also mentioned that there is a provision for customs exemption for external assistance and purchased materials in the context of treatment
