Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that in the next few years, money can be earned not only in the mountains of Kirtipur but also in other mountains of the country.
Addressing a program organized in Kathmandu on Saturday, Thapa said that in a few years, it would be possible to create a situation where people could earn two to four hundred thousand rupees not only in the mountains of Kirtipur but also in many mountains across the country.
He mentioned that various trolls and memes were made about his speech during the by-election in Kirtipur earlier. Thapa said, ‘ Within the next 8-10 years, I believe that we will be able to create a situation where our friends will earn two to four lakh rupees from not only the hills of Kirtipur, but also from many hills across the country. ‘
He said that the time has come to think about it, and that the government’s pace is not that good right now. ‘We have this potential, but we have to think and work for it. We have already started to set its direction, but now we have to increase the pace.’
“This is a big opportunity for us, and for that, there is a need for legal reform. We have to work to bring about that change,” Thapa said.
Thapa has identified the country’s potential and pointed out the need for new directions and initiatives to become economically strong. He said that more planning and speed are needed to take advantage of natural resources and regional development opportunities in the coming years.
He put pressure on the government and said, “There are possibilities, but for that, real thinking and strong initiatives are needed. We must not just stick to the plan, we must implement it. Legal and structural reforms are also indispensable.”
