Opposition parties, including the main opposition party, the CPN-Maoist Center, have decided to reject the ordinance brought by the government. The decision was taken at a meeting held at Singha Durbar today, the day before the winter session of Parliament, which begins tomorrow, to reject the ordinance brought by the government by circumventing Parliament.
Hitraj Pandey, Chief Whip of the Maoist Center, informed that in a meeting called by Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, the chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center, it was decided to reject the ordinance as the government had gone beyond the rules and procedures.
The meeting was attended by Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, Unified Socialist Party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, and National Independent Party Acting President DP Aryal.
