Parliament Reconstituted, Supreme Court Orders To Convene Meeting Within 13 Days

The Supreme Court has ordered the reconstitution of Parliament. The order issued on Tuesday also called for convening a sitting of the parliament within 13 days. A constitutional bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Jabra, Justices Vishwambhar Prasad Shrestha, Anil Kumar Sinha, Sapna Pradhan Malla and Tej Bahadur KC has ruled that the dissolution of Parliament by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will be annulled. On the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, President Bidyadevi Bhandari dissolved the parliament on December 20 and announced elections on April 3 and 4.
