Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has requested a clear plan from the relevant ministries for the operation of Pokhara and Gautam Budh International Airports at full capacity.
Prime Minister Oli asked for the plan after discussions with relevant ministers, secretaries and high officials at the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singhdarbar.
In order to manage the current flight and passenger traffic of Tribhuvan International Airport, he instructed to come up with the existing problems and solutions for the full operation of the two airports.
In the discussion, Prime Minister Oli mentioned that the two airports were not operating at full capacity for a long time after their construction and suffered losses. Taking the matter of Kathmandu airport exceeding its capacity seriously, he asked for the necessary facilitation for the same.
Prime Minister Oli instructed to operate immigration and other facilities for the efficient operation of both airports, to move fuel storage near the airport, to reduce the price of fuel, to make arrangements not to collect value added tax and tourism tax, to provide ground handling services to the same agency as per the rules. .
